CARTIER Art Deco Jade, Coral & Onyx Sautoir Necklace

A rare Art Deco masterpiece inspired by the exotic gemstone combinations and design motifs of the Far East. It has descended through generations of a prominent American family's jewelry collection.

The necklace, composed of coral, black onyx and jade beads, joined by delicate diamond-set bar links, suspending a rectangular carved apple green jade plaque app. 59.5 x 39.0 x 7.0 mm, signed Cartier, N.Y., no. 371, ca. 1925, measuring 29 inches long, weighing 73.7 grams.
